Yesterday, students from Gongju National University of Education Affiliated Elementary School in South Korea visited Dayuan Elementary School in Changhua County. The South Korean students brought traditional hanging ornaments and origami, while the Dayuan Elementary students taught their Korean peers how to make tea eggs. The exchange was lively and enthusiastic.

Principal Liu Wei-Lun stated that Dayuan Elementary School serves as the International Education Resource Center of Changhua County. This exchange activity was initiated by the South Korean Ministry of Education's "International Youth History and Culture Exchange Program." Dayuan Elementary was invited to participate in an exchange with the Gongju National University of Education Affiliated Elementary School. The students had already engaged in three online exchanges to get to know each other and discuss the details of this event, so they were all looking forward to meeting in person.

The two-day in-person exchange event began yesterday. The students from Gongju brought with them presentations on Korean culture, traditional board games like Yutnori, Hanbok origami techniques, K-pop dance performances, and traditional musical instrument performances. Dayuan Elementary arranged activities such as cooking and tasting tea eggs, making bath bombs from local industry materials, dance club exchanges, and Handpan club exchanges.

Chen Hui-Ru, a student at Dayuan Elementary, mentioned that her understanding of Korea mainly came from dramas. She found it very beautiful when her Korean partner taught everyone how to make Norigae, a traditional accessory used in Hanbok.

South Korean student Zhao Juan-You expressed her happiness at having the opportunity to visit Taiwan and meet Taiwanese students. She plans to continue writing to her Taiwanese friends to maintain their friendship after returning to South Korea.
